As ARTILECT’s first line of defence, EMPEL is a permanent, molecularly bonded, super-hydrophobic exterior surface treatment that outperforms all other C8, C6 CO DWR's by magnitudes in real world situations. EMPEL offers enhanced breathability, softness and is Oeko-Tex certified to be PFA/PFC free and it is both water-free and solvent free in its process. The Dry Finish process uses uniform polymers that individually wrap each fiber with a protective molecular bonded water repellent shield. Fabrics treated with EMPEL™ don’t wet out in heavy or prolonged rainstorms.
