We all know merino wool’s natural properties. Its multi-climate abilities, breathability, moisture absorption and odour reduction are well known, but traditional processes of spinning and tightly twisting the fibres inhibits the full power of its natural benefits. Traditional merino fabrics are prone to forming holes and losing shape, becoming heavy when wet and being significantly slower to dry than synthetic performance fabrics. Nuyarn technology is different.

Trizar

Trizar is certified space technology developed to protect spacecraft during re-entry into earth's atmosphere by reflecting and re-radiating heat away from the surface. When used in performance apparel, this same technology allows wearer to stay warmer in cold temperatures through science of emissivity, where Trizar utilises natural mineral and space-age ceramics to create a printed or in-fibre material that captures, spreads and re-radiates body heat back to the wearer to raise the temperature inside the apparel system. This thermoregulation functionality significantly improves the comfort and performance of ARTILECT's 3-layer fabrics by up to 5°, while working on the micro level to acclerate breathability/moisture-vapour transfer rate.

Empel

As ARTILECT’s first line of defence, EMPEL is a permanent, molecularly bonded, super-hydrophobic exterior surface treatment that outperforms all other C8, C6 CO DWR's by magnitudes in real world situations. EMPEL offers enhanced breathability, softness and is Oeko-Tex certified to be PFA/PFC free and it is both water-free and solvent free in its process. The Dry Finish process uses uniform polymers that individually wrap each fibre with a protective molecular bonded water repellent shield. Fabrics treated with EMPEL™ don’t wet out in heavy or prolonged rainstorms.

Lavalan

Lavalan® Sport is made by nature. This high tech, highly functional natural European wool insulation harnesses the power of millions of years of nature's research and development, actively managing thermoregulation and moisture at a level modern science can’t match, while remaining resistant to compression, naturally odour-resistant and machine washable.

Primaloft BIO

PrimaLoft® Bio™ is a groundbreaking, 100% recycled insulation and fabric technology that delivers superior warmth-to-weight performance, even when wet. It’s designed for circularity—chemically recyclable and biodegradable in specific environments—reducing carbon emissions and minimizing microplastic impact while maintaining long-term durability.

RECCO

RECCO is a rescue technology used by organized rescue teams as an additional tool to more quickly locate people buried by an avalanche or lost in the outdoors. The system is based on a harmonic radar system and composed by a detector and a passive reflector integrated into outdoor clothing and gears.

High & Dry

ARTILECT’s High & Dry technology delivers elite waterproof and breathable performance with a 30K/30K membrane and EMPEL’s permanent super-hydrophobic treatment—free from forever chemicals. Built for protection and comfort, 3-layer styles add 4-way stretch and Trizar heat-radiating tech for superior thermal management.

ExpeDRY

ExpeDry by Allied Feather + Down is a breakthrough in moisture management and sustainability, using FUZE technology to permanently bond non-toxic gold particles to down clusters. This chemical-free innovation enables down to dry 40–50% faster, keeping insulation drier in high-humidity and high-activity conditions—delivering superior real-world performance.
